Pearl loves her new shoes!

Happy Halloween!  Originally Anson was going to be Frank the Combine from the Cars movie for Halloween.  We realized, however, that the costume we made him was WAY TOO heavy and cumbersome, so we activated plan B, as in B is for Batman.  Batman stepped in and saved the day, the awesome super hero that he is.  Pearl went as the cutest sushi roll ever and I put on the Frank costume because it was going to be worn by someone come hell or high water.  So it all worked out in the end and we had a wonderful holiday! 

  

One of Anson's favorite things to do in the tub is shave.  He was lucky enough to get a shaving kit for his birthday this year and what a hit it was!

This was probably Pearl's second or third trip to the beach and as you can see she could not be more ticked off.  It's as if she's thinking "how could you take me to such a hot, humid, sandy, wet place?" Let's just hope our upcoming trip to Hatteras goes better for her. 

Pearl was diagnosed with mild hip dysplasia when she was about three weeks old.  And after several long doctor appointments, a harness fitting and a treatment of wearing the harness 24/7 for six weeks then another 6 weeks at 12 hours a day, she is now a-okay.  She handled it like a champ!  Way to go, PK!!

So after six months of wondering when Pearl's eyes were going to turn brown, I finally admitted to myself that my daughter is most likely going to have blue eyes!  Who would have guessed?!

Anson met the Pacific for the second time.  For Pearl, it's a first.  We were welcomed by lots of wind, but beautiful landscapes of rolling hills, towering redwoods, deep blue rocky seas, sunbathing seals and one very happy newlywed couple. Congrats to Lustin!  And after a crazy week of wedding fun, the boys sure needed a little rest.
